Green Feathers by EWilloughby Green Feathers by EWilloughby
Commission for someone on another site of their Velociraptor character having a run through a forest. And an intentionally-anachronistic Confuciusornis I stuck in there for good measure.

That would make sence for a bipedal dinosaur like Velociraptor to have green feathers. But often times everybody thinks that theropods were depicted with dull colored feathers with blue or grays or soft tans and browns.

My depiction is unique too, I went on the lines to make a yellow red orange raptor mixed with some blues and dark brownish-green/mahogany stripesVelociraptor. mongoliensis - Wallpaper by Asuma17

I'm always stunned by the amount of detail in your full landscape scenes. This is just wonderful! Although admittedly I can never tell the difference between your velociraptors, deinonychs and utahraptors, they're all beautiful just the same. ^..^

Hehe, it's all in the size, mostly. ;) And in the shape of the skull, but that's a bit more subtle. Velociraptors (as in this one) had narrower snouts with a minor indentation in the center.

The green looks lovely - would make great camouflage. Great background on this too, especially the mountains. Looks like a beautiful place to live.
