Description
I finally received the new Canon telephoto lens I've been pining over for many months, and such fortune I had that I encountered a relatively uncommon bird with the lens barely out of the box. I'd only ever seen the American woodcock twice before: once doing its swirling courting ritual at dusk, and once at a great distance in poor light. I'm so happy to finally get a nice shot of this bird in pretty light. Peent!
